Replacement Roofing: Tax Credit-Energy Star Certified

Energy Star rated asphalt shingles and Energy Star rated metal roofing.

To be eligible for the $ 1500.00 tax credit, roofing must have a high solar reflectance and be Energy Star rated. Only two types of roofing qualify:

Energy Star rated asphalt shingles and Energy Star rated metal roofing. Metal roofing with appropriate pigmented coatings (and) asphalt shingles with appropriate cooling granules that meet ENERGY STAR requirements are eligible.
