USDOE Estimates Savings of 10 to 43+ percent on
Utility bills- It pays to increase your homes
energy efficiency. |
Consumers that have specific products or systems installed such
as energy-efficient windows, insulation, doors, roofing, and
heating and cooling equipment in existing homes can receive a
tax credit for 30% of the cost, up to $1,500, for improvements
"placed into service" beginning in 2009.
The energy-efficient
improvements shall include the
following:
Heating and Air Conditioning: Replace Entire System
Insulation: Upgrades in Attic, Floors, Walls and Accessible
Areas.
Roofing: New Shingles (or) Metal Roofing.
Windows, Doors and Skylights: New Replacement Units.
